P.O.I.N.T membership met at the Loyal Order of the Moose December 11, 2007 at 7:00pm. Chuck Starrett opened the meeting and welcomed all members and visitors.
Dick Haynes read the minutes of the November 13, 2007 meeting and gave treasurers report. Chuck requested a vote to approve the minutes. Motion made by Roy Howard and seconded by Irv Baltes. Minutes were approved by show of hands.
Chuck discussed the Special Meeting held on Saturday December 8, with Chris Finney Esq. of Cincinnati as guest speaker. The major outcome of the meeting was to help us realize that people have power and that we can organize to make things happen.
A point was made that if a tenant does not provide a forwarding address they are not entitled to a refund of their deposit. A discussion arouse on tenant issues and some of the solutions.
John Martin raised the question: How many attendees take pictures of their properties before a tenant moves in and after they move out. A discussion followed.
Roy Howard asked if the rental rating sheets were being used. Chuck replied that no one was using it.
Chuck mentioned that he had missed the OREIA meeting on Saturday and then reminded us how important our association with OREIA is.
Chuck asked for a motion to adjourn. Motion made by Roy Howard and seconded by Ed Liette. Meeting adjourned at 7:37pm. Then we celebrated a year of frustration and at times hard work
